According to Yahoo! Asia news South Korea’s e-commerce sales have jumped to an all-time high in the third quarter of this year. The government of the country explains such a boost in the e-commerce industry by the increased number of the B2B deals.
So, according to the report the volume of business-to-business transactions has come to 151 trillion won (US$110 billion) that is 33% more in comparison with the previous year.
The volume of the business-to-government deals has also risen significantly. The total increase in this sector is 53% that means 11.4 trillion won. B2C transactions were popular as well however the results are less impressive: 17.5% and 4.6 trillion won.
The National Statistical Office has also confirmed the growth and said that comparing to the last year results the total amount of the on-line transactions has increased by 33.7% and has amounted to 167 trillion won that is equal to US$110.3 billion. Last quarter results were less significant and showed “only” 5.9% growth. According to the archives this quarter has been the most fruitful one since 2001.
